CALIFORNIA TRIP.......PART TWO

VISITING OUR CALI FAMILY
May 13th - 17th
It was so nice to enjoy the California weather and our Cali family! John was invited to Michael's Fathers & Son's Camp Out. While the boys went to play, Nicole and I spent some down time with the other two kids. Niki was called into work 8 times that night. It was a long weekend for her. Glad I was there so Mike, John and Cole could spend some time together, and Niki could get a little of sleep. Guess who's walking? Our baby Creed is so cute!

Nicole is so savy with her stroller business, I have been so impressed!

Taking our darling Savannah to lunch, she wanted to go to Baja Fresh

Oranges right out of the back yard, they were so juicy, Creed sure loves them

CALIFORNIA TRIP.......PART ONE

SAN FRANCISCO
May 11th-13th
Side Trip before Thousand Oaks
John wanted to go a different way rather than going through Las Vegas to get to Thousand Oaks. We decided that we would go through Reno and visit San Francisco. It was a very quick trip to see part of northern California but it was well worth the miles and the short visit.
We stayed in Berkley, at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel. We took the Bart over to the bay area where we spent the afternoon and evening enjoying the surroundings.

We rode the cable car and Trolley a few times to different destinations. I love the look of the homes up and down the streets.

We were told that the fudge ice cream Sunday's were very good in Ghirardelli square so we shared one at the chocolate shop there in the square. I love chocolate, but it was a little too rich for me, John gladly finished it off.

We walked through Fisherman's wharf and ended the day at Pier 39 overlooking the famous Alcatraz. We ate at Bubby Gumps. Kids do you remember that place? When we were with the kids we sat right next to the window overlooking the bay watching the sea lions.

DRESDEN'S BAPTISM & CONFIRMATION---May 1, 2010

Before the baptism/Dresden and Larry

Dresden and his friend Spencer were baptised in our Stake center (our ward house). Dresden's family participated in the first half of the program and Spencer's family conducted the last half. Grandma Bertha gave a wonderful opening prayer, Aunt Natalie played a beautiful rendition of the First Prayer and Nana Donna gave the talk on baptism. Spencer's Uncles performed the baptism and gave the talk on the Holy Ghost(being confirmed). Then Spencer and his brothers and sisters sang a song and Samantha(his sister & one of my favorite Y.W) gave the closing prayer. I could feel the spirit there and was very proud of Dresden and Spencer.
